CUFC Hosts First Girls College Combine!
Date Posted: 12/22/2012
On December 16th, Charlotte United hosted it's first ever College Combine for Girls at the Palisades. Almost 40 players from the U15-U18 Girls' program attended, and our players practiced and scrimmaged before collegiate coaches from schools such as Appalachian State, Catawba College, Queens University, Lees McRae, and Lenoir Rhyne.
The Combine gave CUFC players an opportunity to show their ability to the coaches in a closed setting and gave them invaluable experience of playing before multiple coaches. It also gave the college coaches on hand a better and more concentrated understanding of the talented players we have in our girls' senior program.
In all ten college coaches representing schools from all divisions: D1, D2, D3 and NAIA were in attendance. The Combine was a great success and an important step in the overall development of the girls' senior program.
