Clint Irwin Appointed as CUFC Goalkeeping Director

CUFC is pleased to announce the appointment of Clint Irwin as Goalkeeping Director. Clint played professional soccer with Capital City FC of Ottawa (Canadian Soccer League), where he was goalkeeper and club captain. This season he will be playing with the Charlotte Eagles.
He played college soccer at Elon University, where he was a four-year starter. He holds the Elon school record, with 22 shut-outs and set a single-season school record with 10 clean slates in 2009. Clint helped Elon to the 2008 Southern Conference regular season title with an undefeated league mark.
Clint has previously coached goalkeepers at Mebane Youth Soccer Association and Burlington Soccer Club.
Clint comes from a Charlotte United family. He previously played with CUFC from U11 through U18 and was on the State Cup winning team at U16 and U17. His brother Luke currently plays for our club.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Elon University.
