Congratulations to Brandon Jordi and Austin Yearwood for being chosen to participate in the US Development Academy Winter Showcase. A tremendous honor as they are two of only three local players chosen to participate in this elite group. Both of these players developed their talent at a young age with Charlotte United before recently moving to the US Development Academy.
Brandon began playing with Charlotte United through Park Sharon at U9, where he continued to develop his skills through age U14. With superior skills and national exposure through the Olympic Development Program (ODP), Brandon started playing in the US Development Academy when he was two years younger than his appropriate age. His ability to be successful on the national stage is attributed to his speed, quickness and desire, coupled with his superior technical skills, much of which was learned in his six years with Charlotte United!
Austin started with Charlotte United at U11 where he joined a strong group of players and coaches to help him improve his technical skills. Already fast and smooth with a strong leg, Austin worked hard with his team to improve his technical skills. Through ODP, Austin earned exposure at the state, regional, and recently, the national level. This is a tribute to his desire, skills and the training he received through Charlotte United at the important U11-14 developmental ages.
Way to go boys! We wish you well at the Winter Showcase!
