Charlotte United is pleased to announce that Logan Pause, of the MLS Chicago Fire, will be in attendance at the 2007 United Cup. Pause will be on hand to distribute champion & finalist trophies at Ramblewood Soccer Complex on Sunday! Win a trophy and meet an MLS player - what a great opportunity!
Logan Pause Bio Whether he's on the backline or in the midfield, you know what you'll get when Logan Pause is on the field - a thinking man's player with a workman-like attitude. Despite sitting behind "MLS Originals" Chris Armas, Diego Gutierrez, and Jesse Marsch on the Fire's defensive midfielder depth chart since arriving in Chicago in 2003, the gritty Pause has found a way to work himself onto the field more often than not, as he has averaged 24 MLS games and four Open Cup appearances a year since donning a Fire uniform. Part of that is due to his versatility, as the proud UNC Tarheel has shown his worth both at his familiar defensive midfielder spot and as a dependable right fullback during his first four seasons. A change to jersey #7 is already in the books, and Pause's adaptive nature could continue to pay dividends in '07, as he's earned a long look from Head Coach Dave Sarachan at the right midfield spot during the team's preseason camp. Should the North Carolina native maintain his previous production, the 2003 and 2006 U.S. Open Cup winner will see his statistical marks in games played (96), games started (77) and minutes played (6,712) easily break into the Fire's career top 10 lists.
